Biography:
As a graduate of Syracuse University (with a BFA in communications design and a concentration in painting), Anita has spent most of her adult working life deep in the trenches of NYC branding and graphic design. Working for multiple firms (primarily in packaging) her love of the ‘finer arts’ has, however, remained deeply ingrained. Taking from her 10+ years experience in design, she brings a solid sense of composition, space, and color back into her true passion, painting*.

Born in Ecuador, and raised in the NY-metro area, her love of color, sense of humor and spontaneity has been unmistakably influenced by her ongoing world travels. Much of her work inspiration and subject matter is grounded in the cultures, people and places that have touched her life, as well as her familial heritage. With an impressionistic touch & texture to her brushwork, oil continues to be her primary medium.
